FEMALE VOICE: The SilkPeel is an advanced version of microdermabrasion in that not only does it smooth the surface of the skin, but it also allows us to infuse different substances deep into the skin to help with a variety of conditions that we see in dermatology. For acne patients, oftentimes we'll infuse salicylic acid. For patients with fine lines and wrinkles, we'll infuse hyaluronic acid, which is the same thing that we see in fillers. And for patients with hyperpigmentation, we use something called kojic acid, which is a skin brightening agent, which really helps to smooth out the whole skin and clear the complexion. These treatments are generally administered in a series of six every two weeks and then people will come in for maintenance treatments after that.
