FEMALE VOICE: Rosacea's an inflammatory skin condition that we don't understand exactly why some people get it over others. There are definitely different ways to treat rosacea. We use multiple different creams, as well as oral antibiotics for different forms of rosacea. Rosacea usually presents as redness across the cheeks, forehead, or chin, are most often isolated to the face. Sometimes people will get pimple-type lesions and oftentimes there's fine blood vessels that we can see. We do know that one of the factors that triggers rosacea is sunlight, so good sun protection is usually our baseline therapy, along with other topical creams and oral antibiotics.
