FEMALE VOICE: As the ozone layer continues to deplete and as we get more and more sun, we're noticing an upsurge of skin cancers of all types. The most common skin cancers that we see are fortunately the most treatable, basal cell and squamous cell carcinoma. Melanoma is fortunately still more rare, but yet it's deadly. So it's very important for patients to come in on a regular basis to have their skin checked. If a skin cancer should appear on the skin, we have the surgical technology to remove it right here in the office. I use both excisional surgery, as well as Mohs micrographic surgery, if it's warranted.
