FEMALE VOICE: Well, a lot of women develop unsightly veins on their legs that they don't like, after childbirth or just with age. And for the large majority of women, it's just a genetic thing. If it runs in your family, you're going to get those unsightly veins at some point in your life. I use a solution to inject those veins, which basically causes the two vessel walls to stick together so that the blood no longer flows through. And it's important right after that treatment to wear compression hose for a number of days to maintain that result. Sclerotherapy is usually not a one-time treatment. We usually have patients come in several times to make sure that we can get the maximal benefit from the treatment.
