With skin cancer on the rise, we work hard in our office to educate our patients on how to protect their skin. Many people think that if they are not directly exposed to the sun for an extended period of time, they don’t need to wear sun protection. This is very untrue. It is extremely important to wear sun protection on all areas of the skin that will be exposed to the sun at all. This includes driving or even going for a short walk. In addition to sun protection, having a skin exam once a year by a Dermatologist is always recommended. Prevention is the best way to avoid skin cancer.
